Sully Don Kimbrell

Sully was born on November 16, 2006 at 9:41 a.m. in Amarillo, Texas. He weighed 5lbs. 13 oz. and was 17 inches long. He is very beautiful. He is the light of my life besides my husband. He looks just like his daddy. I may have had to have a c-section, but I still experienced contractions and nobody can prepare you for how they feel. Sully has his first doctor's appoint on the first of December. All he does right now is sleep, eat, and make dirty diapers for me to change, but I enjoy every minute that I spend with him. Even the sleepless nights and even the nights that I actually get to sleep a little more than an hour at a time at night. The grandparents are really happy and they are spoiling him, so is everybody though.

G G EuBank

G G (great grandmother) has always been a big part of my life since I was a baby. I remember growing up down the street from her and getting to go stay the night with her. When I would go stay the night with her we would stay up real late playing on the organ and the piano and singing, talking, playing dominos, what ever we wanted to do. And when we got tired we would sleep on the living room floor in front of the big window. That is where we always slept. It was so much fun. She would always make us cookies, and angel food cake every time I would stay with her. We did lots of cool things. I remember I use to always and still do when she is having a good day telling her that she was my sexy grandmother. I would also tell her that I was having to fight away all the men away because I wanted to keep her for myself. She has been a great influence in my life and to Heath since he has known her. She really loves to pick on Heath every time she sees him, and she loves it that he will pick back at her. I am going to miss her! My son will never know her most likely, but I am going to tell him all about her and Mema. She has taught me so much in my lifetime and even though she has been having a hard time lately she still manages to teach me something new almost every time that I see her. She has really been struggling lately with dying. I pray everyday that the Lord will take her home, because she is so ready to go and has been for a long time. I know he is not ready for her yet, but he will take her when he is ready. She always tells me when I leave that she will see me tomorrow Lord willing. She has been seeing things or people that we can not see and when she does see something you can tell because she will get the biggest grin on her face. I will be happy for her when she goes home to see the Lord, but I will be very sad also because I will miss seeing and talking to her almost everyday. I have gone and sat with her during my lunch hours, late at night, early in the morning, and after work. I enjoy every minute that I get to spend with her even if we don't get to talk. On her bad days sometimes you just have to sit there and hold her hand while she tries to get relief and sleep, but I still cherish those moments deeply. She loves for somebody to be holding her hand. She always asks me everytime she sees me about the baby and when he is going to get here. She tells me that when I finish the baby room she is going to come out to my house in her Cadillac (her wheelchair) and see the room. She also tells me that when my son gets here she is going to come see him. I tell her that when my son gets here I will bring him to see her so she won't have to get out to come see him. She just grins and says ok I will let you do that. She does a good job in keeping everybody in line that takes care of her at least that is what she tells me and I believe her. She told me once that she has these fits just to keep them on their toes and don't forget about her. She is a wonderful Christian lady and I love her dearly. I will miss her.

Final Weeks of my Pregnancy

I am now 36 weeks pregnant. I will be 37 weeks on Sunday. I am so excited. The baby is head down. It won't be long and he will be here. Yes if I haven't already told you it is a boy. We have had to wonderful baby showers for him and have gotten lots of good things. We can hardly wait till he gets here. He does already know who his daddy is. He loves to hear Heath talk and he loves to listen to music. He loves hard rock and gospel. Is that not a weird combination. He takes after his daddy on the hard rock and me on the gospel. I am ready for him to get here, but I am going to miss the moving around inside of me. He has been a very active baby. He loves to kick me in the ribs. I am slowly getting his room ready. I have the crib together and the changing table. Now I just have to find a place for all the wonderful things that we got at the baby showers. There is so much that I still need to do, and no time to do it in. The only time that I get to work on his room is Saturday's because during the week I am to tired after I get off of work to do anything. I just want to go home and sit on the couch and rest. I am going to have to get busy though in case he decides to come early. I don't care if he comes early as long as he does not come on Halloween. Even if he does come on Halloween I will still love him just as much as if he comes on any other day. I know the grandparents on both sides of the family are ready for him to get here. I plan to work up until he comes or until the doctor says otherwise. I am now seeing the doctor every week. I may not get a chance to update again until after he is here, but I will be sure and put some pictures on after he gets here.

Pregnancy

As most of you know I am pregnant. And this time have made it a long ways. I will be 6 month pregnant on July 16, 2006. I am so excited. I can hardly wait for it to get here. It seems like yesterday I found out that I was pregnant. It did start out a little scary, but with the help of my doctor here I am 6 months pregnant. We did on ultrasound back on June 27, 2006 and it has all of its fingers and toes. It is has everything that it is suppose to have and everything is working properly and it looks great. Heath and I do know what it is, but we are not going to tell yet. Sometime we are going to tell and when I do I will be sure and post it on here. As most of you know also my sister-in-law Melody is pregnant also. She is about a month behind me. They found out I think it was last week that they are going to have a boy. They are going to name him Ryder. I think that is a cute name. Hayden is so excited that he is going to have a little brother to play with. I am so excited and happy for them. My baby is due around November 5 to 7 and Melody's is due in December. We are almost excatly a month apart. My parents are going to be busy grandparents this year at Christmas. My belly is getting bigger. It seems like it is doubling in size everyday, but it is not really, it just feels like it. Just a few more months and my little one will be here. I am starting to work on the baby's room. We are going to do it in teddy bears and tractors. It will go with girl or boy and we have had that picked out for years.

Port Arthur Business Trip 2006

Monday Feb. 20, 2006- My flighyt was sheduled to leeve out of Amarillo at 11:00, and I needed to be at the airport at 10:00. Heath and I arrived at the airport at 10:00 got checked in and checked my luggage in and then found out that my flight would not leave until noon. So we said our good byes and he left the airport and I went on through security and found the gate that I would be leaving out of. My flight arrived on time at noon. Once I got to Houston I got off the plane, had to climb some stairs up to the terminal and then walk like a mile to a place where I could catch a bus that would take me to another terminal so that I could catch my next plane that left at 3:30. I had about an hour and half layover there in Houston. So I ate some lunch and looked through the little gift shops that they have in the airport. Since my flight from Amarillo to Houston was late that made it to were I did not have to wait as long at Houston for my flight to Port Arthur. The fight to Port Arthur arrived on time and 45 minutes later I was in Port Arthur. There was suppose to be someone there to pick me up and take me to the hotel, but nobody was there yet so I waited around. I called Heath, and Mom to let them know that I had made it all the way to Port Arthur and that I was waiting on someone to pick me up. About 5 still no one had come to pick me up so I called my SAP Supervisor that I was going to work under while I was down there and left him a message telling him that no one was there to pick me up. Well, he never returned my call. I finally was able to get a cab ride at 6 which cost me 15 dollars just for them to take me a couple of miles to the hotel. I ordered pizza for supper and just stayed in the Hotel paying invoices.

Tuesday February 21, 2006- I met Shellie Mapes (from our Willimington Refinery) down in the lobby of the hotel at 6:30 this morning because she was going to be my ride this week. Shellie introduced me to everyone and showed me around and then I met Neal Lucas who took me to meet the Port Arthur Refinery's A/P department and start training them on what they needed to learn. After work all of us went out and ate at Mazzio's and then called it a night.

Wednesday February 22, 2006-Another day much like yesterday, but I brought some of my work from my refinery with me and when I was not helping them I was paying invoices. I got a lot accomplished while I was there. Not just for me either. Iwas able to teach them alot and get 125 invoices paid that I had brought with me and should be able to finish the rest tomorrow. After work, Shellie and I went to Walmart so she could get her nails done. After she got her nails done we went and ate at McDonalds. That was my Wednesday in Port Arthur.

Thursday February 23, 2006- Today was the same as yesterday as far as work goes except that we got off earlier to go to the Mardi Gras Parade and then out to eat because most of us that had travled there would be leaving tomorrow. So we got done at work by 5:30 p.m. and headed to the parade. I had never been to a Mari Gras celebration of any kind ever in my life so this was quite and expierence. It was really fun watching all of the people and seeing all of the beads. They were everywhere. People even were dressed up with all kinds of different hats, beads, etc. It was a really neat experience. Then the place that we went and ate supper at was so good. I had so much and met so many people that I did not want to leave, but then I really did cause I really missed my husband, dog, and the rest of my family and friends, but I did make some new ones.

Church Ski Trip 2006

The Sunray Church of Christ Youth group along with several adult sponsors left out Thursday February 9, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. and headed for Salida, CO. to go skiing. Counting everybody that went there was 41 one of us including Chris & Lynelle's new baby boy Christopher. We arrived in Salida about 10:30 or so Texas time. We all made it there safe and sound, just a little tired. Friday the next morning we had to rise and shine early so that we could get up to the Monarch Ski Lodge and get our equipment and our lift tickets, so everybody went to bed as soon as we were able to get into our rooms at the Hotel. The next day we got up and got to the ski lodge and started skiing. It was a beautiful day. I only got to ski for a little while because I wiped out and twisted my knee and it hurt to ski anymore after that. After we finished skiing we turned in our skiis and went back into Salida and went to the hotel to change clothes and then headed to the Hot Springs swimming pool. We stayed there for like two hours. It was so much fun. We played water volley ball the whole time. We got back to the hotel rooms about 8:30 p.m. or so and everybody stayed up visiting and then we all crashed. We were going to be getting up early the next morning and have our own church service before we head back home to Sunray. We had 41 kids and adults go on this ski trip and it was a good group. Can't wait till next year.

Valentines Day 2006

Today has been a good day. Heath surprised me with a dozen yellow roses in a beautiful vase and my dad gave me a huge teddy bear that is holding a heart that says hug me and believe me you want to hug it when you see it. It is so soft and cuddly. It will look great in the baby's room when ever we do finally have children. Heath and I ate lunch together today, and he had not been having a good day so far. He had not been able to get much done because he was taking care of one problem after another. I left work on time today so that I could go home and cook my husband a good supper for Valentines and have a nice evening together.
