Update May 2008

Well, I am really going to try and do better this year on keeping you guys up to date. I really don't know where to begin. Sully is getting so big. Talking almost non stop. You can't always understand him, but he is always telling us something. He has had his battle with ear infections and RSV twice since he was born. I can't even count the number of ear infections that he has had. Him and I both got the flu earlier this year and we both had our flu shots. We got the flu at the same time. Let me tell you that was not fun. Sully just had his 18 month checkup on Wednesday the 14th. He checked out really great. In fact his doctor told Heath and I that we had a perfect child. He has been perfect since he was born. That was a real complement to Heath and I.
Sully has had so many ear infections that we had to take him to see an ENT Doctor. Mom and I took him Friday the 16th of May to Dr. Guttenplan in Amarillo. I just get a kick out of the doctors name. He is a good doctor though just a different name. Anyway, back to Sully's ears. His hearing is good and normal for the most part, but he has abnormal pressure in his ears that can only be corrected with tubes put into his ears. So on May 22nd, he will be having surgery to put these tubes in his ears. I think I am more nervous about it than I should be, it is just the thought of my baby having a surgery. This is suppose to help him, and they said we would be amazed how much clearer he will start talking after his surgery. So keep all of us in your prayers.
Two weeks after Sully has his surgery I will be having surgery. I am going to have LASIK eye surgery done on June 5th. Yeah I know that is my anniversary, but I didn't want to put this off any longer than already have. I am truly excited about it. Again I am nervous about the thought having having to stay awake and stare at this light with out moving and inch, but I think it will be ok. Everybody I have talked to that has had this done says it is not near as bad as it sounds and it is over before you know it.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you something. Heath has gone into another business with his dad, and his brother Shawn. They purchased a seed plant. If any of you remember Marion Garland that passed away last year, he had a seed plant here in Sunray and they bought it from his wife. They bought this in Feb. of this year. And yes of course I am working there. I am doing their book keeping for them, just like I do all of their other businesses. I really enjoy working out there too. It would be nice if I could work their full time. Sully loves going out there. I bought him a tractor that we keep out at the seed plant that he can ride up and down the hall. He just loves it. I will have to get a picutre of him on his tractor and post for all of you to see. Well, that is really the biggest highlights that have happened so far this year. I will try and keep you more informed.

2007

As, you all can see I did not post anything for last year 2007. I had a new addition to the family at the end of 2006 and I had a busy year year after that. I spent all my time working, playing with Sully and spending time with Heath, that I did not update my blog at all last year. I am truly sorry about that. I am getting off to a late start this year, but maybe I will do better this year. Sully is now a year old, actually he is now 17 months old, and he is busier than ever. He never slows down unless he is sick. He reminds me a lot of his daddy. Never slows down for anything. Well, in 2007 not only did Sully grow up fast, but I had a change in my job. That was a stressful time, cause I did not know if I was still going to have a job after they moved mine to San Antonio. They did offer me to move with my job to San Antonio, but it was not a good time for us to move. They did offer me a new job in July of last year. I am now the Track Administrator. Track is a software program that Valero uses to track contractors times when they come on and off the site. I have really enjoyed this new job. The only thing that wears on somebody after awhile is having to get up so early. Besides that change our life this past year has been pretty normal. We get up go to work, come home go to bed after we play with Sully a little while.
Sully has really changed over the past year. He is talking more and more everyday and as I have already stated he never slows down. He loves being outside. He gets really mad if he don't get to go outside and run. He loves to run. He runs almost everywhere he goes. He calls a banana "cheese". Almost everything that is yellow is "cheese". He also likes to say please alot. Besides those two words Momma is the one he says the most. He says momma when he wants me and we have recently figured out he says momma when he wants you to pick him up. I have been trying to get him to say "momma up", but he caught on to just saying momma. So when he wants somebody to pick him up he will walk up to them and hold his hands up in the air and say momma. It is kind of funny now that we have figured out what he is doing. At first we were a little concerned that he was getting very confused calling everybody momma.
Heath had a good crop last year and we are hoping he has another good one this year. Sully loves to go farming and riding the tractor with Heath. He calls everything that Heath drives "Daddy's Tractor". It doesn't matter what it is, it is "Daddy's tractor". Now I am going to try and get started on updating you for what is going on in 2008.
